November 2006
We have now uploaded some pictures of our
little new friend, Mille McKenzie! Click here!
August 2006
Some time has passed since our last update on ”news” so where do we begin?
First of all we would like to thank Rockklassiker 106,7. We had a blast warming up for Sweet on Viking Cinderella, thanks!
We would also like to thank Kamaza Tools and all of you people that showed up at Kamaza Tools Mechanic Challenge in Kungsträdgården.
As usual we have been rehearsing, writing new songs, recording and mixing. Some of you may think that these songs never seem to be able to get downloaded on this site, but we promise you it fucking will be! For some reason time just seem to fly away…
Have some patience!
Of course you heard Dan at Bandit Rock 106,3 this summer where he spanked ass for a week! For those of you who missed that, you can hear him again 21-25 th of august between 7-00 pm. Feel free to request Jug McKenzie all the time! Click here!
Lars finally worked up the nerve to get engaged to his long time girlfriend Jessica! He's been really laid back most of the summer in his native home town Ö-vik. He also bought him self a car. By the way, so did Dan… This will hopefully get some stress out of Mike's car!
And at last, we have a new member in the Jug-family! 10 th of July Mike and his girlfriend “Pricken” got a son called Mille. At the moment his main interests are sleeping and eating, but you will soon se him at a Jug gig!
January 2006
Happy new year!!
Jug McKenzie has recorded two new hit-songs, that soon will be available here on jugmckenzie.com
for you to download!
Two gigs are planned for January but the dates are not
confirmed yet. The first one is an unplugged gig on a nice café called Louie Louie, (Skånegatan, Sthlm) and the other one's on Mondo (Medborgarplatsen, Sthlm).
Check out the gig list for dates later on!
October 4
Finally!!! As you may have noticed, the new page is up! Lars took over the bass from Zoda in 2004 and Dave is “on leave of absence” so the old page felt a bit old. I guess you can say that we have taken a new direction.
Me (Mike), and Dave wrote most of the ideas for songs before and with Dave being away, he wont be able to influence the music.
The summer has been great. First we played at Sweden Rock Festival, which was a blast. It's a great festival and we hope to be back next year.
Then we made a few gigs with Leif Andreasson Motorsports. Finland was great with lots of Koskenkorva mullet haircuts and clogs (wooden shoes)…
We also played at Mantorp Park - Veidec Nitro Festival. The only setback was the weather but we managed to play a few times on the strip.
Lately we have been working really hard on some new material. We recently recorded four new songs witch are now in the mixing process. They will soon be posted under “New shit” in the music section.
The plan is to write and to record as much new stuff as possible this winter.
We hope not to do so many live shows because it takes focus away from song writing. This may sound strange, but we have planed this a long time but it never tends to be that way. We love doing live shows and can't seem to turn down any offers.
We have a few gigs booked and some is yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned!
June 20th
Sweden Rock Festival was a blast! Lots of beer, great music and believe it or not: nice weather! It was Jugs first time at the festival and we all enjoyed it very much. Hopefully we will be there next year ripping up the stage for once again.
We have a few gigs ahead of us this summer as you may have seen. We also have some gigs with Andreasson Motorsports witch isn't confirmed yet, it's always these last minute things with Andreasson, but it just adds a bit of excitement doesn't it?
May 9th
The new Jug McKenzie site is on it's way. Within a few weeks it should be up and running. There will be a lot of new pics, cause over the years we have gotten more handsome and bearded. So stay tuned for that!
This weekend (May 13th-15th) we are going in to the studio again to record 3-4 new songs with Richard Nettermalm at Green Genie Studio.
There will also be some new events with our favourite "crazy-guy" Leif Andreasson Racing this summer. All the events with Leif will be posted here on the news section as soon as we have a date for it. We have booked a few days to take some pictures with his awesome car.
With only one month to go, we hope to see all of you at Sweden Rock where we will tear the stage apart... Jug McKenzie will play on Thursday 9th of June at 14.00.
March 19th
Hell Yea! These rock boats really seem to fuck you up. We sure had the best of times even though some of us went to bed a bit early. Of course a big thanks to Rockklassiker and the other bands. We all had a blast! Pics here...
Se you at Sweden Rock!

Dec 13th
As you may know we are working on some new material. There is no plan at the moment of releasing this material other than here on the Jug site. We do hope to record new stuff as often as we can and very soon there will be 3 new songs under the music section that you will be able to download.
A BIG THANKS to Rockklassiker 106,7 and especially Peter Kjellin for your support and for being so nice to us. We all had a great time at Hard Rock Café!!

Time is really moving too fast and we realise it's been ages since we updated the news section. We are proud to announce that we are official sponsors of Leif Andreasson racing team. He is now in the US negotiating with some big companies and sponsors. It's too early to say anything but he has some great stuff going on that also involves Jug McKenzie.
We have booked a three day recording session, 19-21 November, to record three new songs.
We also hope to do a complete face lift on the web site during this winter/spring.
